The fishery is back open after its winter closure and the early signs are that we are in for a fantastic season and this mixed complex.
Since the doors swung back open for business, the visitors have been flooding in to take advantage of the sport on the Main Lake. Unlike a lot of commercial fisheries, the water has a very natural feel to it, with lots of greenery and wildlife present at this time of year but the biggest draw is the 30lb nets of roach!
Fishing around two foot deep on the pole or waggler will give instant action, with hemp and caster tempting specimens to 1lb.
The carp action can be equally hectic and a Method feeder moulded with micro pellets chucked to the island will produce bites almost every chuck from fish to 4lb. Corner pegs are also worth a try for slightly bigger fish.
Willow Springs has been a closely guarded secret for several years but the recent influx of anglers indicates it is set to become just as popular as its more established neighbours in the coming months.

Top venue tip
Hemp makes a lot of noise when it hits the water so is perfect bringing roach up in the water. Add a spoonful of chilli to it to give it extra flavouring.
