An angler that has been emptying his local water on a weekly basis has revealed that altering the presentation of a cheap supermarket bait has been key to his success.
While most anglers at Lancashire’s Wrightington Fishery have been directly hooking or simply hair rigging their baits, local ace Dale Calvert has developed a unique tactic that has helped fool countless triple figure bags of carp at the prolific complex.
“The fish have seen every trick in the book and I thought it was time to try something new. Since I made the simple changes to my rigs my fishing has improved drastically and I would never go back to my old ways,” explained Dale.
