Natural waterway becomes top carp bagging haven

Angling Times this week lifts the lid on a small drain that has been converted into one of the finest carp bagging waters in the country.

The Midlands waterway used to be a haven for small silverfish, but a large glut of carp – which locals claim they are clueless as to where they came from – have changed the venue forever, with triple figure hauls now a possibility on the water.

The best part about it is that this fantastic sport is available at rock bottom prices, with day tickets obtainable to anyone who fancies fishing a natural waterway with a difference.
