The immensely popular Linear Fisheries has been in great form over the festive period, with huge fish of several species banked from the Oxfordshire day-ticket complex.

Matt Lambert and Tom Clover decided to have their Christmas get together on Oxlease lake and it delivered in fine style, with the latter banking the water’s biggest mirror carp at 47lb 11oz. That wasn’t the only action that they experienced either, with a brace of 20lb plus fish and a solitary 30lb carp shared by the pair.

Equally impressive fish have been taken over the road on Hardwick and Smith's where Steven Winwood came within an ounce of the lake record with a big mirror of 47lb 11oz.

Rob Dobson set his stall out on Unity Lake with his favoured Handcraft Baits Super Squid boilies, and they were to the liking of the resident carp, with fish of 32lb and 34lb falling for the trap.

On Brasenose One it wasn’t just the carp that were being targeted, with Paul Parish setting his stall out for the huge roach that are present. Feeder fishing tactics helped him fool a colossal specimen that sent the dial on the scales round to 2lb 15oz.
