Bream feeding frenzy on Gloucester Canal

The Gloucester Canal bream stocks continued to feed during the latest event held on the venue with over 20lb needed to secure a place in the frame.

Leading the way on the day was commercial fishery expert Chris Cameron who will be glad he switched to ‘the cut’ for a session after he netted 32lb 9oz.

After drawing unfancied peg 49 at Hempsted, the Mosella SW rod decided to feed plenty of groundbait on the long pole line and was able to tempt plenty of slabs and one tench into taking his maggot hookbait.

Runner up Mark Treasure pushed him all the way but fell just short with his 32lb 1oz haul.
