Competing in the third round of the Worcestershire venue’s silverfish league, Preston Innovations backed star Jordan Holloway drew peg six on the Specimen Lake and fancied his chances from the off.
He wasn’t left disappointed either, working with maggots and worms over groundbait on the long pole for an impressive 83lb of big skimmers.
Jordan didn’t have it all his own way though, with Matt Powell pushing him all the way from peg five. He worked with similar tactics and fell just short, sliding into second spot with a highly creditable 74lb 5oz.
