Andy Bennett’s winter silverfish campaign continued to go from strength to strength as he bagged yet another festival victory.

The Guru-backed star headed off to Coventry’s Meadowlands Fishery for the two-day event and found himself up against an elite field, with the likes of Lee Kerry and Simon Willsmore also competing.

Meadowlands is a great spot for silverfish fishing.

Fancied peg 11 on the deepest part of Lambsdown Lake was his home for the first day and he made no mistake, bagging 36lb 9oz on long pole tactics to win not only his section, but the whole match as well.

Another zonal victory on the second day was essential given the standard of angler that he was up against, and he managed to achieve just that to secure the perfect score. This time he worked his magic from peg 10 on Lambsdown, once again winning the match as well with 35lb 4oz.

Preston Innovations backed star Lee Kerry was the only other man to secure section wins on both days and that gained him second overall, with Andy winning on weight countback.
