Beautiful big pike landed half an hour in to first session of the season

On a trip to a local stillwater, Northamptonshire angler Paul Jackson struck gold with this beautifully-marked 32lb pike.

It was his first session targeting the species this season, and he had the fish on half a bluey, which had only been in the water for half an hour before being taken.

After striking, Paul played the pike for 15 minutes, with the specimen tail-walking and ‘scaring the living daylights’ out of its captor, before being safely netted.
