A scheme aimed at rejuvenating waters that have lost their popularity has revealed the acquisition of two new venues.

The Embryo Family Fishing was created by tackle giants Guru and Korda, with bosses trying to create the ideal breeding grounds to attract new blood into the sport.

Nottinghamshire’s Langold Lake, Bedfordshire’s Broom Family Lake and Cambridgeshire’s Norman Cross Back Lake were the first trio to get a makeover, with another pair set to open to anglers on March 1.

Harthill Reservoir and Kiveton Waters are both located to the southeast of Sheffield and will come under the management of Embryo Family Fishing, with the Canal & River Trust working alongside them to aid the development.

More details are set to be released in the coming weeks and you can keep up to date by visiting the Embryo Family Fishing Facebook page.
