Dragonfly and Sandpipers hold carp from 10lb-15lb. Start 5m out and trickle pellets over the top of an 8mm hookbait, switching to corn down the edge later on.

Dropping a pole or waggler rig close to a vacant platform will fare best. Double corn or an 8mm cube of meat over a bed of micros will fool fish to 18lb. Early or late in the day is best.

A pellet waggler will produce a smaller stamp of carp and F1s early on. Feed the margins with groundbait and dead maggots for carp from 10lb-18lb during the later stages of your session.

On all the Match Lakes, the end pegs are often bankers. Head for a swim that has had the wind blowing into it and fish corn over groundbait and micros close to the shallow banking for big carp.

On Holbar Lake, specimen carp anglers fish close to an island. Fish to 20lb can be caught on the waggler much closer in, mini boilies being a great bait to avoid the F1s or silvers.
