Any family suffering the twin perils of tight budgets and bored kids should check out the hundreds of events taking place as part of National Fishing Month.
Building on last year’s success, which gave over 38,000 people a taste of fishing, the Angling Trust is promoting another big summer. Running from July 29 to September 23, it hopes to catch plenty of newcomers and to help get kids away from digital screens.

“Everyone is welcome to try fishing this summer and find out how to get going on a budget,” said the Trust’s Clive Copeland.
“By the end of each day session we want everyone to be ready to start an angling adventure!”
