Huge grayling ends year of big fish on high note

Over the past few years the rivers of Scotland have accounted for the vast majority of really big grayling catch reports. But so far this season, the Dorset Frome has been producing more than it’s fair share of good fish, with plenty of two-pounders being reported.

George Cornwell was the latest angler to capitalise on the waterway’s fine run of form when he slipped the net under this superb grayling weighing 3lb 1oz.

It fell to trotted maggots, which George presented using one of Drennan’s new Titanium Trotter floats.
