Long range feederfishing tactics worked a treat for Zak Williams as he worked put together an incredible 130lb bream haul from a popular stillwater.

The Garbolino-backed star entered a qualifier match at Somerset’s Durleigh Reservoir to try and get a slot in the £4,000 final at the venue, with peg 12 sticking to his hand at the draw.

A quick chat with other entrants gave him a good feeling about the swim and decided to use a big feeder to pile in a large quantity of pellets and corn at 86 metres.

It was a ploy that soon had the slabs in his swim, with Zak relying on a Hybrid feeder loaded with 2mm pellets and an 8mm wafter hookbait to keep fish in the 4-7lb bracket coming to help him win the day and qualify for the big money event.
