Epic journey for birthday PB grayling

To mark his 40th birthday, Brighton angler Matt Easton made the long drive to Scotland to target grayling.

He travelled with a few friends and was rewarded with two new PBs for the species – first a 3lb 1oz fish, which was then followed by this specimen of 3lb 3oz.

Trotted maggots were the winning approach, with Matt presenting two grubs beneath a 6g Avon float.
