Frosty weather didn't halt Scott Rodgers' rich vein of form as he landed this stunning 40lb 14oz common.
It was the highlight of a six-fish haul from a private Midlands syndicate that also included three thirties to 36lb 10oz and two twenties.

All the fish were taken from a spot at 115 yards which Scott baited with Key Baits Solutions ASM boilies, before presenting Withy Pool rigs over the top.
"This is my 10th fish over 40lb this year from three different syndicates," he told us.
"It takes my tally of 30lb-plus carp for the year to 53."
