FANCY GOING CARP FISHING YOURSELF? HERE'S HOW TO GET STARTED.

He brought up the century of big carp with this amazing common.

55-year-old Jason Rider started fishing in 1984, and has done it all in the sport through the years, including owning his own lake and running his own bait company, but when Covid struck, he set himself the ultimate challenge.

"I was inspired by a story I heard of a guy catching 100 different thirties and thought 'wow, I need to do something similar'," he told us.

"Statistics are only a representation of our achievements and another way of remembering them. I fish because I enjoy being outside in nature and the unknown of the journey. I set myself goals, and although they are secondary this felt special."

His adventures have taken him to 41 different venues around the world.

Jason hit the century of monster carp with a 58lb common on his recent European trip, in total he has caught 50lb carp from 41 different venues around the world.

"To do this you could spend all your time on one lake that has many fish of that weight, but I like fishing new waters with new challenges," he said.

"I caught some of those fish from lakes that only held one carp of that size.

"Thanks to everyone for sharing this special moment with me, 100 up and going strong!"
