The Outlaw Pro backed UK Angling Championship starts this week with the first round being hosted at Makins on Thursday, 20th June.
A full house of 70 anglers will take to the banks across events at Makins, Rookery, Hallcroft and Barston over the course of this summer to decide who is the most consistent angler. Some of the biggest names in match angling have hoisted the incredible trophy including the likes of Alan Scotthorne, Dick Clegg, Tommy Pickering and in more recent years Andy Power, Jon Arthur and many many more.
It’s a title all of the top anglers want on their CV, but it’s also open to club anglers who get the opportunity to fish alongside and against the best in the business.
Match ace Jamie Hughes is the current champion and will be looking to defend his title. Steve Ringer is back, and a host of England internationals, including Adam Wakelin, are all up for the challenge.

The event will be covered by TNT Sports, and the programme will be broadcast on the 1st of July on TV, with a highlights package on the Outlaw Pro YouTube Channel on the 8th of July.
