With predator fishing season well underway, when it comes to specimen zander, the Trent and Severn have dominated early reports.

Rob Hall was one angler who recently took advantage of the superb sport the Severn has to offer, when he landed this cracking 15lb 8oz zander from the lower reaches.

"Zander have turned into a bit of an obsession for me these days, and from autumn to the season's end, I dedicate all my fishing time to them," he told us.

"My wife accompanied me on this trip, and her presence proved to be fortuitous, as I managed an absolute beauty and new PB, which fell to a roach deadbait."
