ON a trip to an old, clear gravel pit in his home county of Leicestershire, Alexandru Stoica landed this impressively-marked 5lb 6oz perch.
He tempted the fish early on in the session using lure tactics, a 7.5cm-long Savage Gear shad proving to be the winning pattern. It was his only fish of the session, but Alex wasn’t complaining, given the sheer size of it!
