THE exquisite work of artist David Miller will again adorn rod licences for the new fishing season.

David’s paintings have been on the permits since 2008, and for 2023/24 the two-rod licence will feature a barbel working its way through the gravels, while the three-rod carp licence carries an image of a moonlit common carp.

As we reported last autumn, licence prices are set to increase this April, with the two-rod licence costing £33 – £3 more than last year.

Readers looking to buy their permits online are being warned to watch out for online scams.
