Junior anglers need your help!

A survey has been launched to gain an understanding of the current state of junior fishing with the aim of safeguarding the sport’s future.

Launched by Clubmate, the survey has been shared with several thousand contacts across angling, with the results hoped to understand some of the key barriers to junior participation.

The same organisation ran a similar survey back in 2023, in which the results were shocking, showing that just six per cent of members across 100 angling clubs were under the age of 16.

“We’re interested in seeing how the results compare and would like as many people as possible to take the short survey and give their thoughts on what’s going well, what the key challenges are, and what we can do better as anglers,” says a spokesperson from Clubmate.
