An angler from Bristol enjoyed a dream fishing holiday with her husband at Sky Lakes in France recently, banking the lake's biggest resident at a whopping 77lb 4oz.
The huge mirror known as 'Pet' was just one of many personal best busting carp Annette Pruett netted during the week, which started pretty slowly but ended in spectacular fashion.

"My fortune changed on the Tuesday when I broke my PB twice with mirror carp of 41lb and 44lb 6oz, along with seven other fish," she told us.
"I was really pleased thinking this would be very hard to beat."

The following day Annette had to wait no time at all to get back in on the action at bite time...
"Before I even got the rod in the rest a fish had picked up the bait and kited to my left towards a near margin snag," she said.
"After a bit of a tussle and applying constant pressure, I managed to ease the fish into open water and eventually my husband Andy netted it.
"She was huge! - My husband has never seen such a big fish in over 35 years of fishing, it is the largest carp in the lake."
With help from the bailiff the fish was safely weighed and released, then the celebrations started.

"I got a soaking in lake water, which is tradition for a PB," Annette said.
"Everyone on the lake congratulated me on this massive achievement and we are already booked to go back next year - can't wait to see if I catch her again!"
