Each year, many anglers book a day’s coaching from a fishing expert to brush up on their skills. Anything decent that’s landed comes as a bit of a bonus.
But, when Tim Foulsham enlisted the help of Andy Page for a ‘reset’ in his lure fishing, he enjoyed a truly memorable session, landing perch of 5lb 1oz, 4lb 6oz and 3lb 15oz!
Fishing a large Midlands reservoir, Andy was being shown different rigs when the large fish struck.
“I had a big tap on the tip and struck into something that put a real bend in the rod,” he told us.
“When it slid over the net, I was in shock. It, and the other fish, came in a short window when the whole area switched on.
“Andy is a great coach who explained the methods and myths of lure fishing. It was a day to remember.”
