Kayak fishing is rapidly rising in popularity, with more and more anglers taking to the water in search of fish. Not only does this method give you access to areas of the lake you can't cast to, it allows anglers to incorporate technology such as live sonar and other devices, helping them find fish so much easier, which increases the chances of getting a bite! The different experience of being out on the water is also incredibly appealing to anglers who are after a refreshing change in their fishing.

Mark Radcliffe showing just how effective the approach can be with this 34lb 14oz pike. The England Kayak Team member fished a large reservoir, catching several fish to just under 15lb, before his small shad was inhaled by a much larger fish. A short fight followed and he was left in disbelief at the size of the pike.
