Big Trent zander gives savage take and fight

A roach deadbait presented in a huge slack resulted in a savage take from this monster 16lb 1oz zander.

It gave Eddie Wilson a great battle on the River Trent, making him think he might have connected with a good pike, as it uncharacteristically ripped line from his clutch.

However, when the specimen finally surfaced and Eddie realised it was his target species, he was left grinning from ear to ear, especially when the needle of his scales flew round past the 16lb mark.
