An annual event that aims to find some of the hottest junior talent in the land is set for a major revamp that will see £10,000 worth of bait and tackle handed out to participants.
The Guru Match Academy used to comprise of several events around the country before the pick of the bunch competed in the final, but the 2024 version will see 80 anglers go head-to-head in a single showdown.

Warwickshire’s Makins Fishery will play host on August 21, with elite anglers such as Matt Godfrey, Adam Rooney and Steve Ringer dishing out expert coaching to all entrants on the day.
The top 10 will be rewarded with Guru tackle and Mainline Match bait, with section prizes also on offer. Everyone that competes will also be given a goodie bag and bait.

Entrants must be competent match anglers that can fish without parental assistance and be aged between 13 and 18 on the day of the event.
