There can’t be many anglers who haven’t heard of Anglers Paradise, and last week the largest fish ever caught there was landed by Lee Meakin at 100lb exactly.
Lee was at the Devon complex with his dad, and had suffered two blank nights on the Main Lake before his historic catch.
“I decided to cast out two 21mm halibut pellets, and three hours later my rod screamed off,” he told us.
“With adrenalin pumping, we played a strong game of tug of war, before my dad helped to ease it into the net.
“Weighing 100lb, it’s the biggest fish ever to be caught at Anglers Paradise in their 43-year history.
“I collapsed back in sheer exhaustion after releasing the beast!”
