A seasoned pro won this year's Fish Midlands event.

Elm Lake hosted the event and the big carp that are the main target were playing hard to get.

Several contenders were in with a shot of bagging the £12,000 cheque and the trophy going into the final hour, but Dave Pimlott put his foot on the gas late on to finish on 90lb 6oz.

The 62-year-old rotated between the pole and Method feeder to the island from peg 12 to find lumps to double figures.
