The unseasonably warm temperatures of late have kept tench sport hotter than usual for this time of year and Dan Ridley capitalised by landing an impressive 150lb-plus haul at a Lincolnshire day ticket fishery.

He caught over 50 tench throughout the session.

Visiting the up-and-coming Hibladstow Lakes, the local angler found a clear spot in the Specimen Lake and used his Spomb to introduce a large bed of pellets and boilies.

He was suddenly summoned to head home to Grimsby, but once he’d dealt with the issue, he was back down to the lake to present a baited rig over the top.

His alarms were busy within minutes, as a double take got him off the mark. The sport didn’t let off from there, with over 50 tench to just over 6lb and a trio of carp to just shy of 20lb coming to his net during the weekend session.
