Guru A-class 4000 reels
What they say: A strong and reliable 4000-sized reel to accompany the new wallet-friendly A-Class rods. They feature an infinite anti-reverse, plus strong and lightweight graphite bodies with aluminium spools and handles. Punching well above their price point, these great little reels are the perfect choice for beginners and anyone seeking a decent quality reel that won’t break the bank.
What we say: Forty quid isn’t a lot of money for a reel in anybody’s book, so when it comes from a company regarded as having some of the most high-end premium products around, everyone takes notice! Hopefully, we’ll be trying these out when Live Testing the matching A-Class rods.

Guru A-class rods
What they say: Offering an affordable range of rods to cover all forms of feeder fishing, four of the new Aventus A-Class models are two-piece Method versions and range from a 9ft Mini Method to a 12ft Distance.
The other three are three-piece and have a softer, progressive action designed for natural stillwater and river fishing for roach, skimmers, bream and chub. They come in at 11ft, 12ft and 13ft lengths. Guru Super Pellet Waggler Banded Hair Rigs
What they say: Tied using the new and improved PTFE-coated Super Pellet Waggler hook, each expertly crafted hooklength is 24ins long and features a 2mm band – big enough to take all sizes of bait up to 8mm, apart from the largest size 12 which has a 4mm band to take even larger baits if required. Available in sizes 20-12 with lines from 0.15mm to 0.22mm, you get eight hooklengths on an EVA spool which fits the Guru Rig Boxes or Feeder Case.
What we say: A great hook in its own right, the Guru Pellet waggler was upgraded with a PTFE coating a couple of years ago, making it noticeably sharper. It was only going to be a matter of time before the Super Pellet Waggler rigs arrived, and sure enough, now they’re here! Look out for them in tackle shops in the coming weeks.
