The nation’s anglers will be treated to even more fishing on the TV tonight, as globetrotting duo Ali Hamidi and Bobby Zamora return to ITV4 with the second series of The Grand Fishing Adventure.
In the four-part second series, the two avid anglers are travelling across Spain and France, catching some enormous fish along the way.
The series kicks of with Ali and Bob attempting to target Ali’s childhood dream fish – the rare comizo barbel.
They also head to Lake Proserpina, a lake built by the Romans, where their mission is to catch a 30lb-plus winter carp.

The second episode will see the pair visit the colossal 20,000-acre Lake Orellana in Spain, where fish of up to 80lb in weight are possible.
It’s not just carp on their hitlist here either, as the boys go lure fishing for zander, and Ali gets the barbel rods out again.

In the third leg of their European fishing tour Ali & Bobby arrive in France, where after fishing an intimate lake for ornamental carp, they move on to Le Prunet in a session that turns into chaos.
Lots of night bites from smaller carp, giant surgeon and catfish make their quest for a 40lb-80lb carp a real challenge – serious endurance fishing!
The season concludes in spectacular fashion at French holiday venue Iktus.
Armed with underwater cameras, the first mission is to catch one of the 20 varieties of sturgeon that reside in the lake and grow to over 200lb.
What will the cameras reveal on how these ancient fish feed underwater?

In the second part of this special episode, Ali and Bob move on to the main lake that once again holds giant carp weighing up to 80lb.
Armed with a certain product that could tip the fortunes in their favour, Ali has already promised followers that the season finale will be “unlike anything ever seen on the TV before,” as the "biggest carp ever caught in an underwater film" graces their net.
The finale is so special in fact, OMC are hosting a cinema viewing for their loyal customers and fans a few days before it airs on ITV.
