FINDING the River Thames fining down after a few days of rain, London specimen-hunter Simon Baker reckoned it looked perfect for a big chub.
Arriving early, he fed a large bed of liquidised bread, micro pellets, and a handful of broken homemade boilies.
Fishing a boilie hookbait, he had a sharp pull forward followed by a drop-back, and he was into a hard fighting fish determined to make the inside snags.
Weighing 7lb 10oz, it’s Simon’s fourth seven-pounder of the season.
