LURE-FISHING ace Sam Edmonds has landed a new personal-best perch weighing 4lb 13oz from a Midlands reservoir.
Sam, from Hertfordshire, was fishing afloat with his dad, who’d had a great start to the day himself, landing perch of 3lb 14oz and 4lb 5oz.
But after a quiet hour the pair moved to a new location and were soon into more fish.
Sam hooked the big ‘four’, which was in immaculate condition, on a Strike King Lucky Shad crankbait.
The bite came just he had twitched the lure following a brief pause.
