ON HER first ever fishing trip, three-year-old Victoria Sanders became the envy of specimen anglers nationwide when she landed this 2lb 4oz rudd.
Victoria and dad Kevin visited a gravel pit near their Cambridgeshire home, where she hooked the amazing fish.
“We borrowed her brother’s little telescopic rod and headed out,” said Kevin.
“After a few lessons, she could cast around 15ft, and with it being a warm evening, we could see a few big rudd cruising in the margins.
“I hooked on a piece of crust, and after a few casts it was in position. A rudd soon took the bait, and my daughter connected with it! I told her to reel in, and soon it was in the net. She was so excited to catch her first fish – she wanted to take it home, and even gave it a kiss!”
