Despite finding his club water very busy, Sussex rod Matthew Wright got among the crucians and enjoyed a red-letter day, landing seven to 4lb 2oz.
Settling in a swim he’d never fished before, Matthew set his stall out for a two-night session. He introduced a few Spombs of particles and fished a small Method feeder over the top, with a fake caster hookbait.
“I had an amazing session, where conditions were fantastic, and landed seven fish between 3lb 1oz and 4lb 2oz,” he said.
