Ex-pro footballer Bobby Zamora has once again made carp fishing history with the capture of a record carp while filming for the next series of the Underwater Grand Fishing Adventure alongside Ali Hamidi and the One More Cast & UnderFishing teams.
This filming trip took place at the mighty Grenville Syndicate, where both Bobby and Ali were looking for revenge following a frustrating session in the last series in front of the underwater cameras.

Bobby certainly got his own back, hooking one of the true giants of Grenville, a carp that had been on the missing list since its previous capture at 57lb in 2023.
In the net, it was clear to everyone that Bobby had not only smashed his personal best, but also claimed another fishing record – the capture of the biggest ever UK carp to be caught in front of an underwater camera.
We at Angling Times don’t want to spoil it all, so you’ll have to wait for the series to see to air to find out the true weight, but we’ll give you a clue: Bobby's previous PB (also from Grenville) was 52lb 6oz and this carp blows it out the water!
The monster mirror was caught on a Lock Hook Spinner Rig combined with the Magic Wand. This, used in conjunction with a new, OMC iScream Pink Pop-Up over a mix of OMC iScream & Paella Boilies, Pellets, and the Grenville House Bait, proved too much for the big fish to refuse!
