Nominations

This year has seen the release of some truly inspiring films, all free for everyone to enjoy. Some delve into the fascinating behaviour of fish as they feed underwater, while others beautifully capture the essence of why we love fishing and the passion behind it. If you’ve enjoyed any of these films, why not show your support to the creators to help ensure that fantastic content like this keeps coming.

Guru Underwater 2

For match and pleasure anglers who love general coarse fishing, this was another eye-opener. Angling superstars like Matt Godfrey and Steve Ringer put their best tactics to the test, challenging themselves to see if their methods were as effective as they believed

Korda Underwater - Norton Disney

Another epic film brings us closer to understanding how to catch carp. Filmed beneath the surface at Embryo Norton Disney, the team tested intricate rigs to uncover new insights—and they succeeded. The film spotlighted the 'shot on the hook rig,' which has since become a staple at venues across the country.

OMC Magic Twig Gate

Ali Hamidi sat down to discuss the backlash he faced after releasing the controversially perceived Magic Twig. The product, designed as a hooking aid, was widely criticised, with Ali receiving significant abuse following its release. In this film, he opens up about the experience, offering an eye-opening insight into the challenges of being in the public angling spotlight.

Sticky Baits - Reflections - A window of opportunity

Another epic production from the team at Sticky, this film follows big-carp specialist Scott Lloyd as he sets his sights on catching a 50lb carp from a park lake. Combining raw footage from the bank with an in-depth interview with Scott, the film immerses viewers into the dedication and effort required to chase these elusive giants. Scott as always tells a great story...

Fish With Carl - The Obsession

As usual, when Carl Smith decides to make a feature-length film, it’s a fantastic watch, and this one is no exception. Fishing on the same lake as Scott Lloyd in the Sticky film, Carl reminds us why we go fishing. No matter what’s happening in our lives, we always have fishing—a sentiment Carl captures beautifully well in all his films.
