Tackle & Bates
Big team events are usually won by the elite lineups or local experts, but that wasn’t the case in this year’s Division One National. The Cambridgeshire-based outfit made the long journey to compete on the Warwickshire Avon and shocked the odds to take gold in the most prestigious team event on the calendar.

Drennan Barnsley Blacks
After a reasonably quiet 2024 by their standards, the Barnsley Blacks have bounced back in style this year, winning the Angling Trust Winter League, Sensas Challenge, Commercial National and Feeder National. They also came within a whisker of gaining a medal on the international stage in the World Club Championships.

England Feeder Team
The squad brought home gold from Lithuania in this year’s World Feeder Championships, racking up a 52-point tally to push the Czech Republic into the silver position. Their next adventure took them to Belgium for the European Feeder Cup, and they succeeded in their quest for success, and they took top spot for the second time in three years.

Match Team AK
It’s rare that a team of club anglers causes a stir at the top end of the ladder but that is exactly what happened when Match Team AK won the Division Two National. Competing on their local Great Ouse and Middle Level Drain, they proved they had the venue down to a tee by bagging a convincing victory.

England Carp Team
Added more medals to their already enormous collection with team silver in the World Championships which was staged in Croatia in September. They also rose to second out of 39 in the world rankings.
