Emma Pickering
Put in a brilliant display in the Drennan Ultimate Bomb and Feeder Final at Lindholme Lakes to win the match and walk away with the £10,000 top prize. Her rich vein of form has continued throughout 2025 and she recently qualified for the final of the same tournament and is set to defend her title in the 2026 final.
Emily Mather
Introduced herself to the match scene in 2024 after she gained her first international cap for Scotland and has gone from strength to strength since. Finished runner up in this year’s Angling Trust Ladies National and also qualified for the Fish North final.
Zenia Drury-Gregorek
The boss of Devon’s Anglers Paradise, Zenia has had a year to remember on the bank as she banked numerous personal bests. A 44lb common was arguably the pick of the bunch, but a stunningly coloured giant koi ran it close. She also continues to work tirelessly to promote fishing to boost the number of females and families that are involved.
Sarah Challinor
Put in a fine performance in the Angling Trust Ladies National at Partridge Lakes to win the event with 98lb 13oz of carp and F1s. That handed her a place in the Fish O’Mania final, and she performed exceptionally from a bang average peg, eventually finishing seventh in an elite field.
Sami Edmunds
There are few fly anglers as consistent as Sami Edmunds. After a standout year in 2024, her incredible run of form has continued into 2025, culminating in a sixth National Fly Fishing Championship title, her sixth victory in seven years and an astonishing fourth in a row.
Sami also captained the England team at the Ladies International Loch Style Championship. Although England were narrowly beaten by Scotland, Sami won the individual event outright, finally getting her name engraved on the prestigious Brown Bowl Trophy.
Her season didn’t end there. Competing against the best in the Senior International on Rutland Water, Sami placed 25th out of 56 anglers, helping England secure gold and was one of only two women in the entire field.
