HAVING spent the last three years hoping to catch a 10lb tench from a Hampshire estate lake, Tom Randall finally achieved his target last weekend with this 10lb 12oz specimen.
On previous sessions he’d managed four fish over the 9lb mark, and on his latest trip he lost a big fish right at the net early on, and thought his chances were over.
However, his small Method feeders loaded with soaked pellets and groundbait, with a small pellet hookbait, proved too much for the big tench to resist, and Tom was duly rewarded for all his hard work with this exceptional double-figure fish.
