AFTER being pestered by trout while using bright lures, Ellie Evans changed to a dull pattern and was rewarded with this fine 4lb 8oz perch.
Hoping to end her season on a high, Ellie booked the week off work before heading to her favourite stillwater, where she ventured out alone by boat.
On just her fifth cast with the new lure she had a strong take and soon after was staring down at her new personal best nestling in the bottom of the mesh.
