“I’d been working in London and making the most of my nights, putting in quick sessions on local lakes.
“The Farlows complex was close by, and so I decided on a trip there. Carp were my target, and although I managed two, I also had a couple of tench, including this immaculate fish weighing 12lb! I’ve had a few doubles before, but this one really blew my mind!
“A 10mm spicy fish boilie was the winning hookbait, and I had the tench from a spot on the far bank using the ‘washing line’ method that kept my line out the water. It certainly worked!”
