TWO years after landing an 11lb 8oz tench at a Tenchfishers event at Bawburgh Fisheries, Cliff Taylor returned for this year’s Norfolk event and landed this pristine 11lb 4oz fish.
Fishing a worm kebab rig at 40yds over worm soil, chopped worm, caster and hemp, Cliff connected with the powerful fish that ran him through thick weed. But with gentle coaxing he netted it after a 10-minute scrap.
“I’m delighted to have landed another 11-pounder from the venue,” he told us.
“Incredibly, the last fish I had from Bawburgh went 11lb 8oz, and two years later my first fish of the session was 11lb 4oz. What are the chances of that?”
