“Over my past three sessions targeting the carp of Frimley Pit 3 in Farnborough, Hampshire, I’ve managed to catch five tench, the best of which was this 12lb 2oz specimen.
“In the same trip I had another tench of 8lb 8oz, both of them falling from a spot at 40 yards that I’d baited with hemp, corn and around 1kg of crushed Mainline Cell boilies.
“All of the bites came in the morning, and this particular tench is a known fish for the venue that tends to get caught every so often by the carp anglers on the lake.”
