In a normal season Kevin Palmer would probably have headed to the Hants Avon for some end-of-season roach fishing, but having to stay local certainly paid off handsomely when he banked this stunning 3lb 2oz roach from the Bristol Avon not far from his home.
Kevin, who was using feeder-fished bread, said:
“The quivertip just crept over gently, and I hit into what I knew instantly was a big fish. I’m not at all religious, but when I saw this one surface I started praying! It was a special moment.”
