Christchurch angler Terry Findlay became the latest angler to capitalise on the superb fishing at Chew Valley Lake in Somerset this winter when he landed this 37lb 8oz pike.

Conditions were spot-on, and just 20 minutes after casting out his deadbait Terry received the all-important run.

At one point the fish surged under the boat, but thankfully he managed to get it out into open water before bringing it to the boat – a moment Terry says he’ll ‘never forget’.
