Midlands-based Andy Holden has banked one of the UK’s best-ever zander braces with fish weighing 17lb 10oz and 14lb 11oz.
Targeting the River Severn below Upton, Andy caught them both on small roach deadbaits.

He told us:
“The fish gave uncharacteristic screaming runs, and I had the take from the 14-pounder while the 17 was in the net!
“I couldn’t believe it, and after doing a lot of zander fishing over the years, I know this catch will be hard to top!”
