A LARGE NUMBER of exquisite prints will go under the hammer later this month, giving people a rare opportunity to get their hands on a piece of angling history.

The collection belongs to David Beazley and comprises British angling prints dating back to the 1700s. Having spent years building it up, he admitted to now having ‘more pictures than his walls can handle’, so has decided to auction off more than 100 prints on May 20.

Chris Sandford, an expert in angling antiques, emphasised how unique this auction will be.

“Every now and again you’ll stumble across the odd print,” he told us,

“but for so many to be auctioned at once is rare. All our angling history is in these prints.”

The prints are expected to sell for £80-£500.
