The landscape is quite challenging for fisheries in Britain, but in the quiet, rolling hills of North Devon, one business is celebrating a major milestone.
Cranford Fishing Holidays, a family-run retreat offering anglers the chance to fish in solitude, has now been operating 40 years, having been founded in the mid 1980s by John and Patricia Newcome. Their daughter, Niki and her husband Paul Owens are at the helm now.
“Our longevity is rooted in our residents-only philosophy, ensuring that our 70 acres of private land and three mature lakes remain peaceful and uncrowded,” Paul said.
