AHEAD of this year’s Youth World Championships, England’s U20 squad have secured a major five-figure sponsorship deal with a leading law firm.
The event will take place in early August on the River Sava in Slovenia, and hopes are high that the side can secure a podium spot after being backed by Sheffield-based SSB Group.
Their CEO, Jeremy Brooke, is a passionate angler, and believes that investing in youth is the way forward for our sport.
“This is my way of giving something back, helping young anglers to achieve their dreams, and hopefully, in time, they in turn will give back to the next generation,” he said.
England are also sending a U15 team to the event, which has received increased support from its long-term sponsor, Tackle Guru. The company has kitted all team members out with bespoke poles, as well as top of the range seatboxes and luggage.
They’ll also be an U25 side competing, to whom European bait giant Sensas has pledged its support.
